Our Story
This website was founded in 2014 by Tony Lawton, whose passion for theatre has been lifelong. Originally, Tony designed the platform as an educational resource for theatre enthusiasts. Inspired by the legendary American Theatre Wing seminars, hosted by Isabelle Stephenson, Tony wanted to give people the tools to learn about the arts and discover the joy of live theatre.
Like many fans of the theatre, he had spent hours exploring educational content online, from YouTube videos to expert-led discussions, and he wanted to share that knowledge with others.
Tony’s love for theatre began in 2012, when he performed in the ensemble of a community production of South Pacific. From there, he went on to perform in the chorus of shows like Guys and Dolls, and quickly progressed to leading roles, including Frank in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. Tony then went on to appear as an extra in the professional touring theatre production of Stephen Daldry’s An Inspector Calls and also had a stint in television extra work, playing a part in an acclaimed 2013 BBC remake of The Great Train Robbery film starring Jim Broadbent.
Based in Leeds, Tony visited countless regional theatres - including The Grand Theatre Leeds, The Alhambra Bradford, The Octagon Bolton, The Lowry Manchester, Manchester Opera House, The Piccadilly Theatre, and Sheffield Theatres, immersing himself in performances and building his expertise. He was the first person in the world to create theatre video reviews on YouTube and contributed articles in The Stage Newspaper, further establishing his reputation as a knowledgeable voice in the theatre community. Tony wrote a musical about Madonna but despite networking and making contact with people directly he had seen and admired from American Theatre Wing Seminars he was unable to find interest and momentum in the musical.
In 2014, Tony moved to London to shadow the legendary Sir Jonathan Miller during his production of King Lear, gaining invaluable insights into professional theatre direction. He connected with industry leaders, including Michael Grandage, and participated in the Young Vic Directors Network, deepening his strong understanding of the West End and London theatrical scene.
Our Mission
After gaining experience working at ATG Tickets in Wimbledon, Tony realised many theatre-goers were paying more than they should for tickets, often without knowing where to find the best deals. This inspired him to transform his website from an educational platform into a ticket sales hub dedicated to helping people access West End Shows without breaking the bank.
Today, our website provides official tickets for London theatre and West End shows at the best available prices with information on things to do in London and London Cultural Experiences.
Here we combine Tony’s extensive theatre knowledge, insider experience, and years of reviewing and attending shows to make your time in London seamless, informed, and memorable.
